Job Description:
BCubed Engineering Corporation, an Auria company, is seeking an experienced and highly organized Logistics and Government Property Manager to oversee the acquisition, control, accountability, and disposition of government and company-owned property. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and internal company policies while supporting efficient logistics operations and property lifecycle management across multiple programs. This position requires a proactive professional who can manage government property records, coordinate audits and inspections, and maintain strict adherence to compliance standards. The Logistics and Government Property Manager will work closely with program managers, procurement teams, and DCMA representatives to maintain readiness, accuracy, and accountability for all assets and will also manage the BCubed Engineering hardware laboratory.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Logistics Management
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee supply chain activities to support BCubed programs
- Ensure timely procurement, receipt, tracking, transportation, storage, and distribution of materials
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
- Coordinate with program managers, procurement, finance, and government representatives
- Property Management
- Maintain accurate records of government and company property in accordance with FAR/DFARS requirements
- Conduct property audits, inventories, and reconciliations
- Oversee property lifecycle management: acquisition, assignment, maintenance, and disposal
- Ensure compliance with government property clauses and reporting requirements
- Compliance & Reporting
- Prepare and submit required property reports to government agencies
- Ensure adherence to contract terms, government regulations, and company policies
- Support internal and external audits, inspections, and reviews
- Lab Management
- Coordinate and manage day-to-day activities within the BCubed laboratory, ensuring a clean, organized, and fully equipped environment
- Manage and monitor the lab for adherence to safety and security protocols.
- Maintain awareness of overall lab utilization, user needs, and equipment status
- Assign and manage floor, bench, and storage spaces to address program needs.
- Risk & Process Improvement
- Identify risks in logistics and property operations and implement mitigation strategies
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in logistics and/or government property management, preferably in a DoD or federal contracting environment
- Strong understanding of FAR Part 45, DFARS 252.245, and related government property clauses
- Demonstrated experience with property management systems, inventory control, and logistics coordination
- U.S. Citizenship required (due to government contract requirements)
Highly desired:
- NPMA Certified Professional Property Administrator (CPPA) or related certification
- Prior experience supporting Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) property audits or government contract transitions
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as Jamis, Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, or equivalent
- Familiarity with export control (ITAR/EAR) and hazardous material shipping regulations
- Experience supporting both CONUS and OCONUS logistics operations
- Expert attention to detail in written and verbal communication, to include grammar, formatting, and copy editing.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks which includes prioritizing, tracking, follow-up, and follow-through to task completion
- Flexibility/adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment as well as creativity to propose upgrades and new ideas to enhance processes and tools.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience utilizing Microsoft applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
