Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager with experience managing Command and Control applications for the Department of Defense (DoD) and Special Operational Forces (SOF). Our SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) driven program aims to create cutting-edge software solutions that empower a globally distributed workforce. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding and hands-on experience with development, integration, and deployment of software capabilities with a focus on interoperability across edge devices and cloud environments in support of users in multiple environments and across global sites.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the product development lifecycle from conception to launch.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and sponsors to determine the needs and desires of customers.
- Engage with key stakeholders to understand requirements, present implementation and delivery plans, and gather feedback.
- Synthesize the best solutions by understanding the intersection of these perspectives, maximizing value for all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with ART leadership to define and communicate a shared Product Vision.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and multi-vendor development teams to integrate capabilities into the overall system while considering both technical and operational aspects to align delivery plans with overall project timelines and milestones.
- Manage product backlog and prioritize features based on business value.
- Leverage Continuous Delivery Pipeline to release value based on customer needs.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role with a focus on software applications supporting DoD command and control solutions.
- Expertise in developing product roadmaps, epics, features, and detailed plans for capability implementation and delivery.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with customers and internal teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Superior project management and interpersonal skills.
- Effective collaboration with customers, demonstrating strong commitment to delving deep into their presented or experienced challenges.
- Strong understanding of DoD standards and compliance requirements.
- Active SECRET security clearance (required).
Highly Desired:
- Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Experience leading multi-vendor integration efforts within the DoD.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container architectures.
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or consulting role.
- Experience with collaborative agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Mattermost.
- Experience in implementing projects following SAFe.
- SAFe 6 Product Owners-Product Management Certification
- Active TS/SCI security clearance (US citizenship required).
