Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer with a specialized focus on enhancing the capabilities of military users stationed around the globe operating in diverse environments, ranging from large-scale enterprise systems to tactical field deployments. Our SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) project aims to create cutting-edge software solutions that empower a globally distributed workforce. The ideal candidate possesses a strong blend of Agile expertise, engineering experience, communication skills, and a commitment to delivering mission-critical value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Agile Release Train (ART). Facilitate processes, manage risks, and drive execution.
  • Plan increments and releases that align with stakeholders and organizational goals.
  • Lead and facilitate PI Planning events, aligning all teams on the ART to a shared mission and vision.
  • Adapt SAFe practices to fit the organization’s unique needs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement across teams.
  • Establish SAFe principles by implementing program-level Agile practices.
  • Ensure ART delivers value to the end-user in every iteration.
  • Develop engineering and management guidelines to enforce best practices.
  • Bridge communication gaps by effectively communicating across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of DoD processes and military operations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with customers and internal teams.
  • Active SECRET Clearance (required).

Highly Desired:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Experience leading multi-vendor integration efforts within the DoD.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing or consulting role.
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Active TS//SCI Clearance (US Citizenship required).
